Stoic – Original Smoke Art on Paper

SKU: BIBI-OSA-028-STOIC Category: Tags: , , ,

Dust swirls around his feet as he stands, calm and unshaken, the quiet authority of his presence filling the space.

Every wrinkle and fold in his skin speaks of time lived and lessons learned, a body shaped by years of survival, memory, and experience.

He stands not as a symbol of dominance, but of endurance. This piece was a challenge to create, demanding countless layers of texture and detail to faithfully capture the weight and presence of the bull’s form.

The rugged textures of the bull’s skin and the drifting dust around his feet ground him firmly within his environment, creating a presence that commands respect simply by existing, even as the dust settles around him.

Commissioned by a long-time supporter of my work, Stoic was originally created under the impression that it would become part of his personal collection. Only later did I learn that the piece had been intended as something more.

In a remarkable gesture of generosity, he had planned from the beginning to donate the artwork to be auctioned at an international wildlife and outdoor gathering in Ohio, helping introduce my work to a wider audience abroad.

The intention behind the gesture came as a complete surprise, and it remains one of the most meaningful acts of support I have experienced as an artist.
